75 years ago, in the 20th Century, the Parekh Family commenced business as a trading based organisation in Gujarat. The business was trading in dates, ginger, timber, tiles, bamboo splits, coir, soda ash, cement, asbestos sheet, tarpaulins, cashew seeds, chemicals related to soda ash and export of spices.

The business grew and expanded gradually. Growth and diversification accelerated from time to time with investments in assets and human resources made with the participation of the next generation/s of the Parekh Family — wholly involved in its expansion, diversification and building up the business, assets and new entities.

Parekh Group has played a significant role with a global approach, infrastructure expansion, personalised comprehensive solutions, setting up strategically positioned offices at most minor and major ports in India and 2 overseas offices for expedited cargo movement.
